Go ahead - play with your food! Woo Yen Yen and Colin Goh, creators of the acclaimed Dim Sum Warrior's children's comics, introduce their wacky kung fu-fighting dumplings and lead kids in crafting their own 4-panel comic strip, from setup to punchline.

This event is a AFCC 2018 Public Programme.


About The Speakers

Colin Goh & Woo Yen Yen

Colin Goh and Woo Yen Yen are the husband-and-wife creative team behind Dim Sum Warriors, their critically-acclaimed comic bilingual app for the iPad and also a musical premiering in Shanghai. Together, they founded the satirical website TalkingCock.com and made the movie Singapore Dreaming, which won numerous awards at film festivals worldwide.


About the Asian Festival of Children's Content

The Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC) is a one-of-a-kind festival that aims to promote and celebrate the creation, development, and appreciation of quality Asian content for children. The Singapore Book Council has been organising the Asian Children's Writers and Illustrators Conference since 2000.

Leveraging on the success of this conference. it has since expanded to become a premier regional event that brings together esteemed local and international talents including writers, illustrators, editors, publishers, distributors, as well as parents and children.

Now in its 9th year running, the SBC is committed to expanding AFCC to boost its capacity, outreach and overall impact. At its maximum potential, AFCC can influence and impact the educational growth and development of approximately two billion children in Asia.
